BEFORE Novadermy With Lots Of Sunspots And Small Wrinkles |
Shortly AFTER The Mask Was RemovedFor more pictures go to picture gallery.

Be prepared that You will get BRAND NEW, nice smooth baby skin (not just an old repaired skin with some kind of new technique). All sunspots, age spots and small wrinkles will be gone. The upper eyelid and eye bags will greatly improve. The face looks naturally younger, vibrant and more beautiful with a healthy translucent glow.
After this process there are 3 times more as many capillaries in your skin. Also, the skin is tighter and has more elasticity. Novadermy removes old collagen fibers which then get rebuilt during the healing process. The quality of your skin continues improving for the next 8 month, turning your time clock back by about 10 years. You will be happy about this.

The new baby skin is a true gift.
It is the "real deal" for a happy skin, not just some old stretched skin...
a great start for any beauty journey!
NOTE:
With Novadermy you get something nobody else offers… but, yes, it is a COCOON – BUTTERFLY JOURNEY, and you are part of the 10 day transformation and healing process. It is not a quick fix, because you will have a mask on your face for 9 days. It is somewhat of an trial and needs a positive life attitude. It does not hurt, but it can be uncomfortable at times. You can use the transformation time for meditation, watching TV, listening to nice music or being totally bored. It is all up to you! --- And, on the way, you definitely will make some "friends for life" having been on the same journey together.

Dr. Vargas has been performing this procedure for over 40 years. It was first developed in France, then spread to Israel and Russia. eventually, Dr Vargas perfected the procedure and refined the technique to the outstanding outcome we have today.
November and January/February are perfect months for Novadermy because there is less sun during the winter months.
For the next Novadermy procedures you will have to arrive in San Diego, CA on Sunday October 1, 2023. There will be an evening lecture at 7:30 PM. Novadermy will start on Monday 10/02. Ideally you would leave on Thursday 10/13/23.
You will need 10 full days for the skin to mature if you are 55 and over.
It is good to get an open or exchangeable airfare ticket if you are interested in an additional procedure. Southwest Airline flights are easy to adjust.
A special "medical" taxi will pick you up at the airport and bring you just in 45 minutes to the grand Grand Hotel in Tijuana, an ideal place for this. There is a Grand Care Unit containing special rooms for wellness ventures. Some have hospital beds. The hotel costs you $91/per day. You can share the room if there is someone else who wants to share and bring the cost down. Pets are not allowed on the care unit. If you come with your own car, you pay $1 for parking in the hotel as long you do not leave the garage. To return to the US everybody needs a medical pass from your doctor. It is issued by the hotel lobby with the license number of your taxi so you can return faster. You'll need to allow 2 - 3 hours when returning to the San Diego airport. Have your passport and all prescriptions ready for crossing the border.
Tijuana is a Mecca for medical tourism. In many ways, it is ahead of the US (with its many restrictions and regulations). Often doctors are excellent and super experienced. And the prices are great. Personally I had a tummy-tuck surgery done several months after Novadermy, and I am still very happy about it. There are also many great holistic dentists to clean or repair your teeth.
"American Holistic Care" on the main floor offers all kinds of alternative treatments like various IV drips so you can enjoy more vitality. They need to be done before or after Novadermy. Only PRP (Plasma rich platelets) for richer hair growth or knee problems may be done during Novadermy if your doctor approves. After Novadermy smaller beauty surgeries are possible. Make sure you have a good surgeon who understand your needs. If you are not sure, let your face heal and come back an other time.

Food during the procedure: you need to consume your food most of the time with a straw as you cannot open your mouth very wide. Ultra Meal or other Medical Powder drinks (see info below) are convenient, but some times you may crave for real food. The Hotel room service can bring you mushy food (re-fried beans, guacamole, mashed potatoes) in a cup to go or juices… to have something different to eat. (You may want to set up at the 11th floor reception a credit card account to be able to charge purchases to your room.) I loved to make oatmeal soups in order to enjoy something salty. Guys can eat sooner because there is not much powdered mask in the area of their beard. You can also purchase food items from "Smart & Final" across the street before Novadermy or send a nurse or helper to get it for you. They have coconut water, almond milk, avocados, papayas, bananas, etc. .
TO GO LIST FOR NOVADERMY
- Medical powders are recommended during Novadermy: 1 or 2 cans of "Ultra Meal 360" vanilla. The product number is: H316RV. Cost per canister: $54.95 from Nutridyn. To get the product call Nutri-Dyn at 800-444-9998. Your patient account number (necessary) is: 701872.
The second can (instead the Ultra Meal) could be "Ultrainflam Plus 360" for an improved digestive system. Product number: UIX360. Cost: $71.95. -- It tastes better if mixed together with the "Fruits & Greens", also from Nutridyn. See newest update from Dr. T for more options!! - A good knife to cut fresh fruits (like papaya or mango) you can mix into your drinks
- A bit of rolled oats and Himalayan black salt to make some salty soups
- Some nice teas (the hotel offers only lousy coffee)
- Maybe some Metamucil to drink for fiber (psyllium husk)
- A shaker cup of ideally a magic bullet to mix your drinks
- Large bendable plastic straws
- A night gown open to the front like pajamas (the doctor will work on your decolletee). Otherwise super comfy clothing which also can be opened to the front (so you do not need to pull them over your head) like a soft jogging suit or T-shirts only if it has a big V-cut neck.
- Maybe a duvet cover (instead of blankets from the hotel). I used a queen size from Ikea.
- A flashlight because in some rooms there is no good light next to the bed
- Warm socks or slippers for a cool tile floor
- Maybe a little hand fan to cool your skin
- About 8' extension cord to use lab top, etc. on build-in desk
- A protective sun hat for after Novadermy. I like the Optimal Solumbra for about $50 from www.sunprecautions.com. 1-800 882 7860. I suggest to get a large size that does not scratch your sensitive skin (XL for woman size, L for men size).
- Bio-active Plant Fractions to sprinkle on your pillow. They will support healing and keep your noise passages open. www.annacoulterstore.com
- If you have a Bemer... by any means bring it along. This is German technology increasing microcirculation by 30% and will help with the healing process. Here is a presentation: http://youtu.be/vcMkjqb3lj4
- Bring some games, lab-top, maybe CD player, good books, etc.
- What is a NO-NO: chapstick for lips (because of oil content), drinking water 2 hrs before bed (swelling up)
Note: Arnica for healing and bruising (in case you have a surgery) is very inexpensive in Mexico. The nurse can get you some.
THE HOTEL has special filtered water (in each bathroom) and a medium size refrigerator. There is a microwave in the main lobby of the Care unit. Otherwise the hotel provides a coffeemaker, a hairdryer, good wifi, and heat and air conditioning. You can have an adjustable hospital bed and an adjustable table for your labtop.
The TV is not great and has only 4 English channels (8, 9, 13, 39). Cost about $ 100 per day.
Use the pool, sauna, hot tub, fitness before starting Novadermy. During the procedure this will not be possible.
MORE TIPS from other participants:
- In February bring some warm clothing.
- The Magic Bullet is really a necessity... not just an option.
- Maybe some disposable plates and spoons (or get some from the hotel)
- Audio books on I-phone are very useful , because eyes can be blurry for a few days
- If you're a reader you sometimes won't be able to wear glasses... so bring one of the magnifying films that you can put on a page
- When the tapes are taken off after 48 hours, make sure you eat something and brush your teeth. It will be your last chance!!
- If you have long hair put it back in low ponytail and covered hairline with workout headband every time the powder is applied. The wide tight headband should help any length of hair to stay cleaner.
- One other things in regards to pain... everyone's pain threshold is different. I would suggest that if offered pain medication, take them... or put them in a cup for later if needed. Do not suffer unnecessarily. It's not unmanageable pain... but I do think it goes sometimes beyond "uncomfortable" for a couple of days.
- Also, planning on a extra day seems a good thing.
NOVADERMY OVERVIEW AS A 5 STEP PROCESS
1. Exfoliation - an acid solution is applied. Burns for 2 hours but you will be under general anesthesia. The treated area will be covered with tape. You will have an IV drip for pain during the 1st hour after waking up in the recovery room. After that there should not be pain. The taped mask makes the treatment go deeper, prevents swelling, and protects the skin. It is removed after 40 – 48 hours.
2. Powdered mask. First some placenta cell extract is applied to promote circulation. Novadermy incorporates stem cells into the facial treatment. After that the face gets covered with a yellow powder to create a new mask. The powder has 4 purposes: a) It is antiseptic, b) It is an irritant to the skin, c) It helps the skin to form a scab, d) The scab tightens the skin. It is good to lay flat.
3. Stabilization on day 5 and 6. Stay still. This supports compression and the growth of the new skin.
4. Compression: Tightening the scab by wetting it with water and letting it dry.
5. Removal of the mask and unveiling of the new baby skin.

See room pictures, etc. on : http://www.grandhoteltj.com/room/Grand-Care/21
Ecopolitan will reserve a room for you.
First day… Exfoliation Day
No food for 12 hours before the procedure.
9 am: A male nurse comes by the room for blood and urine tests.
10 am: Cardiologist does an EKG to check the heart and asks all kinds of health questions.
11 am: Dr. Vargas explains the procedure. The older folks get their procedure first (takes a day longer to heal).
Afternoon: Anesthesia to avoid any discomfort. Waking up with a taped mask. After an hour of recovery every participant was escorted back to the hotel room. Now it is possible to eat and celebrate with some food.
A nurse is on call 24 hours a day. Two nurses take turns. They give support and provide anti-inflammatory, pain and sleeping pills when needed.
Day 2… Enjoy your happy brown mask. Maybe you get a star.
It is a happy painless day. See pictures. It is possible to read a book, move around, visit others, have uplifting discussions. Also there is a pleasant lobby to hang out... even with your mask on.
The doctor is open to help or arrange anything for your well-being. She also gets the decollete done twice and a peal on the arms & hands.
It is peaceful and I enjoy my Adhyashanti book.
Day 3…. Receive your beige/yellow mask
On the third day Dr. Vargas is carefully taking off the taped mask. He pulls off any small bits of skin that did not come off with the tape. A liquid extract from calf placenta is applied to promote vascularisation and healing. Finally the thymol iodide powder is applied which helps to form a scab. He applies this yellow powder to irritate the skin and cause it to ooze plasma which combined with the powder forms a new mask. This process is not totally pleasant. Before the procedure there was an injection to reduce the pain.
As a group we have a great time and support each other. It is good if someone can hold ones feet while the tape mask is being removed.
Day 4… Accepting your irritated mask
This day is somewhat uncomfortable (2nd night with powder). Shots for pain are available if needed. Time to be quiet and rest. Several times a day the skin gets additional yellow powder (in the beginning every 4 hours, later every 8 hours).
Cool air helps. Keep the room optimally air conditioned.
Day 5... Hanging in there
Know, that the worst is over after two days of skin aggravation. After that, the inflammation comes down and the crust stiffens.
My audio tapes hit the spot. Like always, the doctor gives a lot of good advice.
Day 6… Your tight mask
The inflammation is down. Hallelujah! The mask is becoming stiff. Not much talking with lip and facial movements allowed. Mmm, mmm. It is important that the mask does not crack(!). It feels that I am getting prepared for a special ceremonial ritual… a new kind of "Shamanic journey". My tarot cards promise healing and a good outcome. I mix my meditation with some stupid TV entertainment.
Day 7… Water on the mask
Not an easy day for me because I feel a bit exhausted and tired from the whole thing. Ha, I get myself ice cream with a straw for moral support. It is a good idea to arrange some nice things like a foot massage, good music, etc.
Day 8 … Hanging in there
Soon it will be over. For older people it takes a day more for the new skin to develop.
I also enjoy a lot of beauty sleep so everything will be perfect.
Day 9…. Taking off the mask
The nurse will apply an oily cream and wait 2 hours before Dr. Vargas very carefully takes off the mask with tweezers. The eyelids are last. It generally does not hurt unless you have some nasty unwanted hairs in your face. Albolene oil is applied over the whole face so the skin is not exposed to air and therefore prevents oxidation.
Now you will be able to shower and wash your hair for the first time since you arrived. Halleluyah!
A HAPPY BUTTERFLY IS BORN.
It is time for a celebration with a real meal. I went for a salad.
Day 10... A new face
Time to relax OR to depart if you are under 50 years old
Day 11 or 12 ... Going home
Departure Day. A special drive with a medical pass (made out on this day) will bring us back to San Diego airport in a very timely fashion. In this direction it takes about about 2 hours. We have our passports ready.
It is good to have the sensitive skin protected with the oil Dr. Vargas gave us. To make it look less shiny, he also provided a bit of corn starch powder to make it look natural.
Upon arrival back home, more relaxation is in order (especially after additional surgery). The skin will go on improving for several months. More peeling can happen. For 2-4 weeks the face will be pinkish because of the new capillaries and is a bit swollen.
Showing off the NEW ME will be better when the skin is less sensitive. Don't expect a lot of compliments on how great you look when you first come home. Over time they will happen(!)... but maybe several months after the procedure.

Dr. VARGAS INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPTIMAL SKIN HEALTH AFTER NOVADERMY
- After Novadermy the skin is 10 times more sensitive to the sun, after one week 5 times more, after 2 weeks 3 times more, and after one month 2 times more. After 3 months it will have normal sensitivity. This means: Avoid the sun on your face and hands for 2 - 3 month! It could create unwanted pigmentation.
- Wear a non-toxic sunscreen with SPF 50 or less if you have to be exposed to UV light.
- Don’t overheat the skin in any way. Cold room temperature is preferred.
- No harsh chemicals on your skin.
- Make-up after a few day is OK (especially powder).
- Know, that right after Novadermy, the eyes look a bit smaller because the skin around the eyes has shrunk. About a month later it will be back to normal.
- Wait a week after the treatment before going into a pool. Put first oil on the skin to protect the skin from chemicals.
- Generally put nothing on your skin (with some exception like retinol cream no fancy creams, etc.)!!! Go to bed with a clean face. Wash the face with water and maybe some mild soap with neural PH (like glycerin soap). When it dries it will tighten the skin and helps with reducing wrinkles.
- Moisturizers don’t do the job. Moisturizers are a scam! Water never goes into the body through the skin (only out via sweat glances.) A lot of cosmetic makes the skin surface larger and creates wrinkles.
Oil can prevent the skin from losing water. Also germs die in oil. Vasaline or Alboline is better than any oil because nothing gets absorbed by the body. It acts like a "film of glass' and keeps the moisture in place. - Wait for your normal skin color to come back. After 30 days you can start using exfoliation techniques. A facial scrubbing sponge, foam or a loufa will do the trick (not a brush). Use it wet and gently sand the skin. Push the skin upward (against gravity). Clap your skin. The exfoliation stimulates the capillaries and white blood cells. Do it every other day (except on the nose) and on your arms before going to bed.
- Instead of exfoliation techniques you can use Retin-A (brand of 0.05% retinoic acid) every other day before going to bed. The anti-aging vitamin A cream irritates the skin, fills capillaries, exfoliates the skin. You do want to avoid the eye. Don’t do both Retin-A and the an exfoliation technique at the same time. Alternation is recommended.
- Press and push on unwanted fat deposits. The fat time will resolve over time.
- It is best to sleep with your head raised as long your face is healing. You will get less nasal congestion.
- If you wish you can use TCA (trichloroacetate) 20% peel every 2 - 3 months for your arms and hands to look younger and match your face.
- How to keep lines from coming back: smiling, squinting, expressions repeated over time... all cause wrinkle lines. For the night put a bit of glycerin or any other oil over wrinkles next to eyes and on your forehead and put 3/4" scotch tape (not paper tape) over it, or use fabric adhesive tape for very deep wrinkles. The brain will learn NOT to make the lines . This process takes months but it works well. Otherwise consider injections of your own fat for super deep wrinkels (better than fillers).
- For blatching of your skin after Novadermy (most do not have this issue!!) you can use Tri-Luma, It contains tretinoina, hidroquinona and betametasona. It is a perscription cream in the USA.
Ecopolitan's Special Offer by Dr. T
Novadermy is a trademarked procedure that includes the whole person, not just the face. The clinic at Ecopolitan has written for you additional benefits beyond the facial procedure itself, which result in a healthier body and longer-lasting youthfulness skin. The facial peel alone won't last as long as you'd like if you don't take care of your new skin holistically and naturally. This is what you can learn to implement based on your own measured skin parameters, a few months after the completion of the facial procedure in Mexico. Your new skin care will actually become your entire body's "anti-degeneration" care, since your skin represents the health of the rest of your body's tissues. Each person has unique skin parameters that indicate the level and location of the degenerative process, and how your entire body is affected by it. The self treatment must therefore be individualized. Novadermy is therefore a much more comprehensive, health-oriented approach.
